The Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra belong on the top of your shopping list. Both are Best Bets for 2013 among full-size pickup trucks, and they match your desires for combining four-wheel drive, seats for six and engines that run on regular gas or E85. The Honda Ridgeline also is a Best Bet but seats only five.

Caution: Don't get your hopes too high that you will be able to stroll into any Ford or Toyota dealership and find the truck of your dreams in stock. Your request for a front bench seat could be a stumbling block because most pickups sold these days have front buckets, especially the higher-priced models.

With the F-150, a front bench is standard on crew-cab models in the XL, STX, XLT and Lariat price levels, but you should probably call some dealerships or check their online inventory to find out if any in stock.
