Auto-parking systems are available on several sedans from Ford Motor Co. and BMW, the Toyota Prius and the Mercedes-Benz CLS. This feature is more widely available on SUVs, which tend to have more restricted rear visibility and are harder to park.
Ford sedans that can be equipped with auto parking include the Focus, Fusion and Taurus, plus the Lincoln MKS and MKZ. BMW offers auto parking on the 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series sedans. This is still a high-end feature, so availability may be limited to certain higher-priced models, such as the Focus Titanium, the most expensive model in that lineup.
Cars.com and USA Today recently tested three auto-park systems, which you can read here, and though all the vehicles were SUVs, the results will provide helpful information on how these systems work.
