Front bench seats are getting harder to find than a politician who can give a straight answer to a simple question. This is true whether you want an SUV or a car.
Among the few choices in SUVs that offer front bench seats are the full-size models from Chevrolet, the Suburban and Tahoe, and the similar models at GMC, the Yukon and Yukon XL. A front bench seat is a $250 option on some versions of those large SUVs and gives them nine-passenger seating.
If you want a bench seat in a car, your only choice in a 2013 model is the Chevrolet Impala, where it is optional on LS and LT models. That option will end in the spring when the redesigned 2014 Impala arrives. Some pickup trucks also are still available with benches in front, but front bucket seats dominate the auto industry.
