A dozen all-wheel-drive hybrids are available for the 2012 and 2013 model years. Although manufacturers continue to add more hybrid vehicles and more vehicles available with all-wheel drive, the number of models that have both a gas-electric hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive has not grown the last couple of years.

Most 2012-2013 hybrid/all-wheel-drive models are SUVs, including the Audi Q5 (2013 only), Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Escape (2012 only), GMC Yukon, Lexus RX 450h, Porsche Cayenne, Toyota Highlander and Volkswagen Touareg. Two pickup trucks are available as all-wheel-drive hybrids: the Chevrolet Silverado and similar GMC Sierra.

If you want a hybrid sedan with all-wheel drive, the Lexus LS 600h is your only option.
