Bose is one of several audio-system manufacturers that provide custom sound systems for various vehicles under agreements with the vehicle manufacturers. Among auto manufacturers that Bose currently supplies are GM, Nissan, Mazda, Audi and Porsche.

Other vehicle manufacturers have similar agreements with different audio brands. Lexus, for example, offers Mark Levinson-brand sound systems as extra-cost upgrades on its models; Scion offers Pioneer systems; Mitsubishi uses Rockford-Fosgate; and Subaru uses Harman Kardon.

In addition to speakers, head units and CD players, some audio manufacturers also supply navigation systems and dashboard displays for vehicles.
