When you park the car and the side mirrors magically fold in.
Although power folding mirrors are common in Europe and Japan, where drivers have to squeeze into tight garages and parking spaces, they aren’t so common here, at least on non-luxury models.
Fear not, though, because they are available on the Buick Enclave Premium, the Chevrolet Traverse LTZ, GMC Acadia SLT-2 and Denali, the Toyota Sequoia Platinum, Toyota Land Cruiser, and, coming soon to a Ford dealer near you, the 2013 Flex. There are probably other non-luxury SUVs that offer power folding mirrors.
Note that this feature is generally available only on top-of-the-line versions, and in most cases it is part of an option package, so you could wind up close to luxury-price territory once the cash register stops ringing.
