If the weight of the lawn tractor and the trailer is less than 1,500 pounds, a CR-V should be able to do the job. That is the maximum towing weight Honda lists for the CR-V. Unless you own a Big Foot Monster tractor and matching heavy-duty trailer, the total weight should be well under 1,500 pounds.

To make your CR-V capable of towing that much, Honda offers a dealer-installed kit that includes a Class II hitch, automatic transmission fluid cooler and a wiring harness.

If you find you need greater towing capacity for other purposes, the Honda Pilot tows up to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped.
