Yes, the optional Trailering Equipment Package ($525) includes heavy-duty engine cooling and larger-capacity transmission oil cooler. Some heavy-duty towing packages, such as those offered on pickups and large SUVs, add an external transmission oil cooler, but the one in the Traverse’s towing package is mounted in the radiator and has greater cooling capacity than the standard unit.
The towing package includes a trailer hitch and increases the Traverse’s towing capacity to 5,200 pounds from the standard 2,000.
