Most large crossover SUVs have folding second and third rows. The rear rows in the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Flex and Honda Pilot fold flat to create an even cargo floor. What may surprise you is that the folding-second-row versatility isn’t as easy to find on minivans, as some still make you remove bulky seats to create a flat floor.

The ones that don’t make you remove the second row include the Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country and Nissan Quest, all of which have fold-flat second rows as standard equipment. All 2011 minivans have a flat-folding third row.

Outside of crossover SUVs and minivans, full-size, trucklike SUVs such as the Ford Expedition have what you’re looking for, along with the Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada.
