If you’re looking for an American-branded version of a small luxury car like the BMW 1 Series or Audi A3 hatchback, you’re not going to find it. One of the smallest domestic-branded vehicles you’ll find is the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe.

The coupe is shorter than its CTS sedan counterpart by almost 3 inches from bumper to bumper, and it has less passenger volume thanks to a four-person configuration. It’s almost 17 inches longer than a BMW 128i.

We have to make the distinction between premium, near-luxury and luxury vehicles. The 2011 Buick Regal fits right between the Cadillac CTS coupe and sedan in overall length and passenger volume, though it’s not quite luxury status.
