The U.S. version, which should start arriving at dealerships soon, is built at the Lordstown, Ohio, plant that previously built the Chevrolet Cobalt.

The Cruze is a global compact car for Chevrolet and General Motors, and GM recently said it has sold more than 340,000 in 60 countries outside the U.S. since the Cruze was launched in 2009. That includes versions sold as the Holden Cruze in Australia and the Daewoo Lacetti Premiere in Korea. Models sold in other markets are built in South Korea, China and Russia, and more plants in other locations are planned.
