What’s your opinion of the Honda Accord Crosstour?

I've been trying to get reports on the new Honda Accord Crosstour. I haven't found any info (good or bad) on the new vehicle.

We’ve evaluated the Crosstour on its own as well as up against similar modern wagon competition like the Subaru Outback and Toyota Venza. You can find our review of the Crosstour here and the aforementioned faceoff here.

Being based on the Accord, the Crosstour has many driving-experience similarities to the sedan, which we like. The Crosstour offers more cargo room than an Accord sedan, but it doesn’t stack up as well against competitors. Cars.com editor Kelsey Mays writes in his review:

“For starters, cargo volume suffers from the raked tail, which lops off a lot of room behind the rear seats. There's more than you'd get in the trunk of an Accord sedan — and Honda says that with the seats down, the Crosstour can accommodate longer items than some of its major competitors — but relative to the range of wagon and crossover alternatives, the Crosstour still doesn't offer a particularly spacious setup.”

Good grief, have we sunken so low to consider the Crosstour and the Venza as wagons? The latter seems like a mutated RX while the Venza (and its ilk, like the Pacifica and Edge) are basically lowered crossovers.

The Outback is grown too big and tall, which seems to fitting considering arse-print has been growing.

I had a Venza 4cyl for just over a year. The Venza was very cheaply put together and I had engine surge (revved high for no apparrent reason periodically)and the ride was very bland. I strolled into a Honda dealership just to look around. I test drove the Crosstour and was sold. Personally, I liked the exterior looks, loved the interior and the road manners. If you want utility, a station wagon and space, the Venza is for you. If you want a unique looking vehicle that is fun to drive, get the Crosstour, the ride and build quality will not dissappoint you. This is coming from a Toyota fan, the Venza was my third Toyota - they skimped on the Venza, too bad...
