Toyota offers XM satellite radio service as an option on the RAV4 Sport. An XM receiver that is integrated with the RAV4’s stereo is included in the optional Sport Extra Value Package (EVP) and Sport Appearance Package and with the nine-speaker JBL sound system. That allows tuning all XM functions through the audio system, and XM comes with a free 90-day trial. A subscription is required after that.
The standard setup on the RAV4 Sport has “satellite radio capability,” meaning that an XM receiver can be installed and connected to the vehicle’s audio system and antenna. As an alternative, you can plug a portable XM receiver into the auxiliary input jack. That will allow you to hear XM stations through your audio system, but you will have to tune stations through the portable XM receiver.
