Yes, a temporary spare is a new option for the SRX, but it is available only on vehicles sold to fleet buyers, such as daily rental companies and corporate customers. Consumers can buy one through Cadillac dealers, which set their own prices. A typical price would be in the $300 to $400 range, Cadillac says. I suggest you call around to find the best price.

A growing number of new vehicles come with a tire sealant and inflation kit instead of a spare tire to save weight, space and money. As with compact spare tires, the inflation kits are intended to be a temporary fix for up to 100 miles of driving. However, some tires may be too badly damaged for the sealant to work, so having a spare tire is a good idea.
