On the inside, you’ll find the most seating capacity with the Enclave, Traverse and Acadia that can seat a maximum eight occupants; these three are all sister vehicles built by General Motors. The Flex and CX-9 have enough room for seven, and the Flex can also be configured for six.
The GM trio and Flex have more interior volume than the CX-9 as measured by the EPA. The Flex has 156 cubic feet of passenger volume, while the Acadia, Traverse and Enclave measure at 154 cubic feet. The Mazda CX-9 has 139 cubic feet of passenger volume.
Maximum cargo room goes to the Acadia, which has 116.9 cubic feet of cargo space when the seats are folded. The Traverse, Enclave, CX-9 and Flex measure in at 116.4 cubic feet, 115 cubic feet, 100.7 cubic feet and 83.2 cubic feet, respectively.
The 2010 Honda Pilot, 2010 Hyundai Veracruz and 2010 Toyota Highlander are also worthy mentions.
