The Lincoln MKS and Inifniti M35 are direct competitors offering very similar levels of luxuriousness. A few of Cars.com’s editors agree that they are very close in terms of luxury, and one editor gives the M35 a slight edge, but not by much.

Where these two cars differ is in the driving experience: The 303-hp M35 is touted as the more fun to drive by our editors.  If the fun-to-drive aspect isn’t a factor and you’re still undecided, then the MKS has a lower MSRP for its base all-wheel-drive model with a $42,760 starting price; the M35x is $47,950.

Closer to the M35x’s price is the MKS EcoBoost, which stickers at $47,760 and includes a more powerful engine than the base MKS, rated at 355 horsepower; the base MKS has a 273-hp V-6.  The EcoBoost model primarily gives more oomph under the hood so the level of luxury between base and EcoBoost models are similar.M35 2010mks

"luxury" means different things to different people. For some, it's a sporty demeanor with a reasonable combination of gadgets, technology, comfort; for others, it's a pillow-soft ride with gadgets etc. The Infiniti (assuming Cortez already is not interested in BMW or other Euro cars) is more the former, the Lincoln is more the latter. the question is actually too vague to be worthwhile...

Bs! The lincoln mks is far more fun to drive than the infinti, I have driven both cars.

A front wheel drive based AWD is more fun to drive than a rear wheel drive based AWD?
Yeah, I shall believe that kind of comment. (Sarcasm)

I have had both! I just sold the Infiniti, and purchased the MKS last week. The Infiniti was an 08, the MKS is an 2010. The MKS is by far a step up from the M. It rides better, handles better, and it feels wayyy better. The sound system is the best, nd the seats are top notch. The M has the better navigation and rear view camera. It also gives the driver better ease of control over the many amenties that the M offers. All that being said... The MKS is definately an upgrade to the M.

I DROVE MY 08 M35X FROM JERSEY CITY TO THE POCONOS AND BACK TWICE. BOTH TIMES I HAD TO FILL UP AGAIN AT THE HOLLAND TUNNEL (QUATER TANK OF GAS LEFT).I DROVE MY MKS TO COLUMBIA S.C. LEAVING FROM HUDSON COUNTY N.J. DEPARTING @ 8:30AM & ARRIVED @ 8:30PM. ALL THAT WAS ACHIEVED IN THE RAIN, FOUR IN THE CAR, TRUNK LOADED, AND ONLY STOPPING ONCE FOR GAS 100 MILES SHORT OF NORTH CAROLINA. WHEN WE ARRIVED, IT WAS WITH AN QUATER TANK OF GAS, WE WERE ALL COMFORTABLE AND LIVELY. THE OUTCOME WAS THE SAME ON THE RETURN TRIP.LETS SEE IF ANYONE CAN DO THAT IN THEIR M35X!

THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO MY LAST BLOG. WE LEFT N.J. AT 10:30 AM AND ARRIVED IN COLUMBIA, S.C. AT 8:30 PM.(MY RATE OF SPEED AND THE TIME WE MADE IS WHAT BLEW OUR MINDS,1/8 OF AN TANK OF GAS WAS LEFT IN BOTH TRIPS) THE OUTCOME WAS THE SAME FOR THE TRIP BACK HOME. ITS TRUE, LUXURY MEANS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. TO US, ITS MEANS OWNING THIS LINCOLN! IF I WANTED SPORTS CAR FEEL IN A LUXURY CAR, I WOULD BUY AN M SERIES BMW. IS THE INFINTI MORE FUN TO DRIVE? IF THAT DISTINCT EXHAUST GARGLE AND THE HARDER RIDE IS WHAT YOU WANT, THEN THE M35X IS YOUR CAR!

I like the MKS though I can't figure why Lincoln discontinued the LS. Was it just the naming convention? I loved that car...Anyway, as far as luxurious comforts its the MKS hands down...though the Infiniti brand is a tad bit "cooler", the M35 isn't really that hip.
