The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu is made in Kansas City, Kan., and Orion Township, Mich. In our most recent American-Made Index, the 2009 Malibu ranked third in our list of the top 10 most American-made new models. The rankings are determined by sales, how many parts on the car are American-made and whether the car is assembled in the U.S.
Cars.com editor Kelsey Mays writes in the American-Made Index article, “The popular Chevy Malibu ranked third, in part thanks to its 80 percent domestic content and steady sales.”
