Prepping your car before someone comes and looks at it is important if you want to get your asking price. Little things like making sure all the light bulbs work, the fluids are topped off and the car is clean, inside and out, can make a difference to a buyer and show that you’ve taken good care of the car.
It also helps to have as much documentation about the car as possible, including a Carfax report showing a clean history, as well as any receipts for repairs and maintenance, showing that you’ve taken care of it.
When someone comes looking at the car it should be clear of any personal items and clean on the inside, outside and under the hood. A good detail will go a long way toward making the car presentable and giving a good first impression.
