After three years a 2009 Infiniti FX35 with all-wheel drive will retain 47.92 percent of its value; a FX35 with a MSRP of $49,665 will be worth $23,800 after 36 months.

The FX35 holds its residual value better than a similarly priced Volvo XC90 (43.35 percent), but it performs worse than a BMW X5 (49.98 percent) and Porsche Cayenne (52.43 percent).

Other factors that can influence the residual value of your vehicle are factory-installed options. Some items such as a rear entertainment system and a navigation system depreciate rapidly. However, cruise control, air conditioning and an automatic transmission retain their value.
