Both the Toyota Camry SE four-cylinder and V-6 engines come with a sport-tuned suspension. The SE’s suspension upgrades, beyond other Camry trims, are fairly extensive. These include firmer shock absorbers, springs and bushings; a strut tower; and a V-shaped brace between the trunk and rear seat for increased torso rigidly. Consequently, the SE is the only Camry without a pass-through to the trunk. The SE also has a lower ride height as compared with other Camrys.

Sporty exterior upgrades include a standard full body kit, including a rear underbody spoiler and side rocker panels, as well as a blackened honeycomb grille and smoked tinted headlamps. The SE sports a set of 17-inch six-spoke alloy wheels with performance tires; all-seasons are a no-cost option.

The SE’s interior includes a unique three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel (other Camry trims get four spokes), unique instrument cluster and sport fabric seats with metallic-looking trim.

For 2010, the SE gets additional tuning and a new 179-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine; that’s 21 hp more than the previous four-cylinder engine. The new engine can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. The 268-hp, 3.5 liter V-6 comes only with the six-speed automatic.

It is indeed wonderful to know that the Toyota Camry SE four-cylinder comes with a sport-tuned suspension. We have been wondering about it as well.

Have an 10 se 4cl, and i've got some strut issues. Just got my front driver replaced at dealer, and now im hearin a noise from the back. Its really annoying to have a car wit 6k and need need struts. WTF
