There are a few new additions for the 2009 model year to the diesel family in the U.S., including the BMW 335d, BMW X5 xDrive35d and Volkswagen Jetta.
The big news for diesel buyers is if you purchase a qualified new-diesel car in 2009 you can earn a tax credit from the government, ranging from $900 to $1,800.
The 2010 model-year cars are coming soon – some are already on sale – and the diesel cars you can expect in the future include the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf.
