The Kia Sedona minivan spawned the Hyundai Entourage, which was introduced in 2007. The two minivans are similar and share engines, transmissions and even interior and exterior design.

The Sedona offers a configuration not available on the Hyundai, however, in the form of a less expensive entry-level model. The base Sedona has a shorter wheelbase, less interior room and fewer amenities compared to the entry-level Entourage. Even so, the base Sedona still comes with safety features like front-, side-impact and side curtain airbags as well as a standard electronic stability system.

Both 2008 model year minivans (2009s aren’t out yet) scored well in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests and earned the agency’s highest accolade, Top Safety Pick.
