If you want to get technical, the best-selling car – not truck, SUV or minivan – throughout the 2008 calendar year is the Toyota Camry with more than 430,000 sales. The runner-up to the Camry was Honda’s Accord, selling around 370,000 units.

The Camry wasn’t the best-selling model overall, however. Even with last summer’s skyrocketing fuel prices, Ford’s F-Series pickup nabbed top honors in 2008 with 515,000 sales.
