The Si is the performance version in the Civic lineup. The latest generation Si, found in the 2006 to 2009 model years, only offers a six-speed manual transmission in coupe and sedan body styles. Most drivers with performance intentions want full control of their driving experience and a fun-to-drive demeanor, which are typically better suited to a manual transmission.

No it is not, if you're in the US
You should instead look at a base-model RSX

If you're in Canada, you can always look at the Acura CSX, which is the same thing as the Civic, except that it has a version of the Si's K20 engine that makes 155 hp (same engine as previous Si adn also the base-model RSX)
