With an extremely bulbous shape, it’s no surprise that the Beetle isn’t the slipperiest car to cut through the air, which is what drag coefficient measures. The Beetle’s drag coefficient is .38 for the hatchback and .37 for the convertible. Similar rides to the Beetle include the Mini Cooper and Volvo C30, which rate at .35 and .31 cd, respectively.
