The Honda Odyssey is one of the more expensive minivans out there when looking at entry-level pricing, but it also doubles as one of the nicest, especially in the Touring trim with leather. The Odyssey has also taken the win in our Family Workhorse faceoff where it was pitted against the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and 2008 Nissan Quest.
In his review of the 2008 Odyssey, Cars.com senior editor David Thomas writes about the minivan in the marketplace:
“One comment that kept popping up as fellow staffers, family members and friends got into the Odyssey was that it was the nicest minivan they'd ever been in. The high-quality interior and plush leather seats certainly help elicit such responses, but the superb driving feel, spacious interior, family-friendly features and top safety rating ought to make the Odyssey a slam-dunk decision for minivan shoppers.
“The only sticking point left is that those shoppers will be paying more than they would if they opted for competitors like the Hyundai Entourage or redesigned Dodge Grand Caravan, which start at $2,000 and $4,000 less than the Odyssey, respectively. I wouldn't call the Odyssey overpriced; I'd just call it the nicest minivan I've ever driven.”

The truth about Odyssey is...
In leather it feels much better then with cloth. With cloth it is cheap-cheap.
The ride is painfull.
I've had 3 days with Odyssey and 3 days with Sienna. To me, if anything is Lexus-like - it would be Sienna. When it comes for non-leather trim the Sienna is worlds better minivan. Just the way it rides, the way interior is put together, the materials. Nothing is rattling there... Take Odyssey on Boston roads and see for yourself which one is better.
As a comfortable family mover, the Sienna is your best bet. Lots of people say Oddy is, but you need to live with it a little, not just short test drive to see the real Odyssey.
With the Odyssey, is it possible to get a car seat on the middle seat of the second row? What if you needed to get three car seats and/booster seats on one row? Could you do it in the Odyssey. The Sienna and the Odyssey are the only minivans that seat eight without reverting to getting an SUV which doesn't get great gas mileage. Does anyone have an answer to this question?

The Odyssey is super quiet and smooth, and the interior is very high quality. The vehicle is the most luxurious minivan I've ever driven, and the whole experience is almost Lexus like, except you don't have to pay Lexus prices ;^).
