Volvo’s R-Design was introduced as an appearance package on the 2008 C30 hatchback. For 2009, the R-Design becomes a new trim level on select Volvos including the 2009 C30 hatchback. The package primarily adds a few interior and exterior features. On the C30, this includes black- and crème-colored leather seating, embossed R logo on the front seats, unique front grille as well as aluminum trim on the dashboard and interior. R-Design becomes the top trim level on the C30, replacing last year’s Version 2.0 trim.

Rdesign

Not to be confused with previous Volvo’s “R” models, which were performance variants like the turbocharged 300-horsepower, all-wheel-drive S60R and V70R, this latest adaptation of the R name only enhances visuals. R-Design trims are also available on the 2009 S40, V50 and XC90.
