There are 16 gasoline/electric hybrids on the market for the 2008 model year. Fuel economy ranges from 20 mpg up to 48 mpg, and the hybrid technology is stuffed into sedans, truck-based SUVs, crossover SUVs and compact cars. There are even more hybrids slated to be released for 2009 including the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC pickup trucks from General Motors as well as the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango from Chrysler.
