Swedish-based Saab manufactures the majority of its cars in Sweden, specifically at an assembly plant in Trollhättan. The Trollhättan plant churns out the 9-3 sedan and SportCombi wagon as well as the 9-5 sedan. The 9-3 convertible is manufactured in Austria. While the Saab 9-7X SUV is actually built stateside in Ohio alongside the corporate cousins it shares a chassis with, including the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy.

This is a good question. Mostly yes, although the Saab has been distilled a little bit by the its GM ownership.

There still is a certain "Saabness" present in the modern Saab.
