Dodge introduced a couple new products in 2007 that sold fairly well near the end of the year, including the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and a redesigned 2007 Dodge Sprinter. Total 2007 sales came in at 1,058,402 units; down 2% compared to 2006 sales (1,077,579). Dodge wasn’t the only automaker to see decreased sales in 2007. Other domestic automakers also saw lower sales compared to 2006.

How’s it going now? Chrysler recently announced year-to-date sales for 2008 that show the Dodge brand down 17% compared to this time last year. Main offenders include the Durango (-39%), Grand Caravan (-37%) and Nitro (-26%).
