What is the best 2008 sedan I can get for around $300 a month on a 36-month lease with $3,000 down? I really loved the new Accord but I don’t know if I could get it for that price.
You shouldn’t have a problem leasing a 2008 Accord sedan for less than $300 a month. Honda lists national offers on its website: Automobiles.honda.com.
Current leasing offers for the 2008 Accord — valid until March 31 — include the following:
Four-cylinder LX: $219 per month for 36 months with $2,599 due at signing
Four-cylinder LX-P: $229 per month for 36 months with $2,699 due at signing
Four-cylinder EX: $239 per month for 36 months with $2,899 due at signing
These leasing rates typically apply to buyers with top-tier credit ratings, so see Honda’s website for all the details and fine print.
The Accord is our perennial winner for best midsize sedan, and was recently chosen Work Car of the Year in our 2008 Cars.com Lifestyle Awards.

not leasing but our 2006 Chrysler Sebring Touring, bought it brand new and only making $249 a month on it. with no trade in, and no down payment.
If I can find back my notes from my pre-cal class, there is a formula to find out exactly how much to pay per month.
With sufficient "money down", you could lease a BMW 7 series for under $300 a month.
While I agree that the Accord is the best car for the money, quoting monthly lease payments after putting money down is just silly math.
It is like saying "A brand new Cadillac is the best buy for only $10,000, after putting $25,000 down.".
You go to a dealer, and talk talk talk.
The good chance is on cars like Accord and Camry that you can talk dealer into removing down money while getting same payment. But again. Lease is not the best option to own a car unless you write it off on your tax bill. And then consider mileage limitations!
Lets say, you pay $250 a month = $3000 a year = $9000 for 36 months.
You drive 12K miles per year.
I am not sure that Accord and Camry with low miles depreciate 9 grand in first 3 years.
you can lease a 2008 Malibu LS for around $280 with $1000 down if you have a 1999 or newer non GM vehicle. The Malibu comes standard with 6 airbags, XM, and turn by turn nav through OnStar. The Accord can't touch the Malibu's standard features.
"...The Accord can't touch the Malibu's standard features."
The Malibu can't touch Accord in general.
Car of the year? It is a baloon and its gonna blow.
For lease it is cheaper to get a car with better resale value. More car depreciates - more your monthly payment would be. Dealer is going to make its money.
Jack, the Accord comes with front, side and side-curtain airbags, just like the Malibu. It also has a standard electronic stability control system, which the Malibu does not in base trim. The Malibu is no doubt an excellent car and we like it a lot. But that added standard stability control is an important safety feature and one of the reasons why we picked the Accord over the Malibu in our recent faceoff:
The NA COTY is pure BS, and I never use it as any standards.
They can simply award the same vehicles for 2 separate years says a lot about that "award".

We leased our 2006 Ford Fusion I4 for $272 a month with zero down and 1st month paid for. They run deals similar to that on a regular basis. I believe I have seen the Milan currently running a similar offer. As for the Accord (or any lease), you'll probably be paying more than $300 a month once you figure in that down payment. The more you put down, the more you can lose in the case of an accident.
