The FJ Cruiser was introduced for 2007, so it’s no surprise that there aren’t any significant styling or design changes for the 2008 model year. There is a notable safety upgrade, though, with side-impact airbags as well as front and rear side curtain airbags now standard equipment. Pricing has been bumped up $435 for 2008, which is average for a new model year.

Besides the newly standard equipment, there’s also an optional offroad package for 2008 that features offroad-ready tires, shock absorbers and a rear differential.
