We haven't driven a new 2009 Toyota Corolla yet, so we can't give you our opinion on it. We do like the Sentra as a competent economy car with lots of room and a nice interior. It’s also affordable and often has rebates — the 2008 currently has a $1,000 cash-back offer.

Reliability for the 2007 Sentra is average according to Consumer Reports. The Sentra was redesigned in 2007, and new models often suffer from minor problems that get ironed out in later years. J.D. Power Initial Quality Ratings also list the ’07 Sentra as average; it scored a three out of five for mechanical quality.

As a new model, we won't know the Corolla's reliability for another year or so.

You don't have to guess much here.
Mexican-built Sentra always had mechanical problems while
Corolla always was one of the most reliable cars.
Independently from model year.
Plus all the savings of the initial purchase discount on the Sentra will quickly disappear in the form of depreciation.

Ford really stands for Found On Road Dead! I had a Ford Focus and it was a nightmare especially when the ignitions went out twice, motor mount rotted off, struts fell apart and transmission blew up all under 50 thousand miles! Great Ford Quality and I would not be caught in another Found On Road Dead Focus again! It is ashamed that Found On Road Dead says their cars and trucks are just as great like Toyota by which it is is a lie! I was a Hyundai owner and had two of them and didn't fall apart like a Found On Road Dead Ford Focus! Found On Road Dead just has a long ways to before they ever catch up with the foreign makers on safety and service obligations anyway! Ford Focus is a accident ready to happen and ready to fall apart for customer! J.D. Powers is not true about rating cars and trucks because I went with their ratings and the Ford Focus costed me thousands to fix it! Customers you can take it or leave it about what I said about Found On Road Dead!

Found On Road Dead Company are the worst cars and trucks in America! If you want a vehicle that falls apart just buy their cars and trucks! Your wish will come true because Found On Road Dead is broke down and cheap!
