We’re not going to be selfish and only have the contributors of Ask.cars.com reveal their dream cars. Instead, we invited the entire editorial team of Cars.com to share their dream ride with you:

Patrick Olsen, managing editor
Mine was the Mini Cooper S, manual, until I drove the Porsche 911 Turbo convertible. That's my dream car now.

David Thomas, KickingTires editor
Porsche Cayman S, black

Joe Bruzek, Ask.cars.com
A black 1967 Corvette coupe with red stinger hood. Underneath would be the powertrain and chassis from a 2008 Z06 Corvette — gotta stick with a 427. Who wants to lend me $250,000 to build this?

Beth Palmer, copy editor
BMW M6 coupe, blue

Sarah Gersh, multimedia producer
Audi R8

Amanda Wegrzyn, Advice editor
Jaguar XK convertible, blue

Eric Rossi, multimedia producer
Ferarri Enzo at No. 1, with a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage as a close second.

Stephen Markley, assistant producer
My dream car is a four-door sedan that I fill exclusively with biodiesel made from algae (seriously). I would also like a moonroof and extra-wide cupholders.

Lindsay Bjerregaard, multimedia producer
Aston Martin DBS

Bill Jackson, Buying Guide editor
2008 Subaru WRX (not the STI version), black or red, with manual transmission, iPod interface and heated seats.

Kelsey Mays, Cars.com reviewer
‘91 Toyota MR2 Turbo

Joe Wiesenfelder, Cars.com senior editor
1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate

Mike Hanley, Cars.com reviewer
1967 Chevrolet Impala

Ian Merritt, staff photographer
All I need in my life is an Audi S5. In a matte black or matte gray finish.

Eamonn Brennan, assistant producer
My dream car is a 1991 Cutlass Supreme, just like my first car, except this time a washed-up rapper "pimps" it for me. He places an XBOX 360 in the steering wheel, an ant colony in the passenger console, and windshield wipers that say "Eamonn is awesome" every time I flick them. And my horn plays a live version of 2112 every time I honk it. This car would be *awesome*.

I wouldn't even drive anywhere.

My dream car is:
'08 Lexus LS600 Hybrid---this thing is amazing, I believe it's the most sophisticated regular production vehicle ever built. I am amazed at all the technological options and stuff this LS600 hybrid has.

Kelsey Mays, I have a 91' MR2 Turbo with 173K miles on it and runs strong. I still drive it to San Diego from San Jose a couple times a year.

My dream car - a Tesla once their transmission problems are resolved.

911 Carrera S

Mercedes S600. Nothing comes close.

A V-8 diesel Mercedes GL....

I'm with Stephen on the algae biodiesel powered vehicle ... except I'll be a bit more specific as to the model: Mercedes Benz GL320 CDI. A family man's dream car that will still get 30mpg highway and tow a house while hauling the family where ever and when ever.

1967 Chevy Chevelle 396ss/4speed and a Lotus Espirit v-8 turbo.

1967 Shelby GT500KR/2008 Shelby GT500KR Pure american muscle, then and now.

91-96 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0L and Manual tranny. Naturally it needs jacked up.

A 2009 Honda Accord with a V-6 diesel engine that gets 30 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway. Oh yeah, I also want some more sound deadening insulation so that the Honda Accord is as quiet inside the car as it is inside a Camry or Lexus or Mercedes. I love to dream! I hope the Honda CEO is reading this over in Japan. It is a little like Mel Gibson in that movie, "What Women Really Want" except in this case it is Rich from the United States with "What Consumers Really Want"!

I would have to agree with Eamonn that driving a car with fantastic, unnecassary upgrades would be a dream. Rather then an ant colony, I would opt for an encased bee-hive in the backseat that would be broken if a car-jacking had just taken place.

Since we're all dreaming,,, Chrysler Atlantic!

1994 Geo Metro XFI, preferably one where the engine doesn't shimmy.

Oh, where to start where to start. I can't say any one car owns my heart.... hmm.....

I guess then that this list would be in order of which I'd have first......

1963 Aston Martin DB5
1959 Chevrolet Corvette (only if in Silver)
1988 BMW E30 M3
2005 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S
1987 Ferrari F40
2007 Ascari A10

But I also have to comment on the staff of cars.com's choices.

Joe Wiesenfelder: you are joking, right? I mean, really? You were my hope for this site, you seemed to actually be able to nail a cars highs and lows quite well, but your dream car is rusting in my uncle's shed right now?

Stephen Markley: good idea. I like that car.

Eric Rossi: we share good taste it seems.

And I'm seriously surprised (but maybe I shouldn't be) that the ladies have better taste in cars than the guys. Amanda and Sarah really seem to have hit what a good car is on its head, but Beth really seemed to have missed the point (ugly!). Still, she did better than Patrick.

And really Patrick, your dream car was a box with a four cylinder (that has excellent product placement in Mike Myers movies)? And now its a Porsche 911 Turbo convertible? What is the point of a sports car with no roof? How are you going to track that? How are you going do anything more than look like an @$$ in it (and I test drove one once, its not you, that car makes anyone look like a prick).

Common, whats your real dream car?

A 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 /stage ii upgrade

The dream car of choice if I could find one would be a 1971 Ford Torino.
Presently driving a 1985 Ford CV Station wagon in excellent condition and keeping it.

2008 Maserati Quattroporte

My dreamcar is : one used Mazda RX8, but only dream....
bye

2006 Lancer Evolution IX MR! Hands down!

My dream car is that charger from fast an furious with wider tires in the rear

maybach exelero would be my dream car but golf 5 is ok too

Qucik!!!

What are some good car(s) that i get for 35K-50K?

i need to know this for ma class!!!

A Tesla Roadster Sport. Electric blue base color with realistic lighting across the top front to back. And custom plates, that look like this: http://ttt.astro.su.se/~magnusg/large/Blixtboll3.jpg.
