When it is cold in the mornings, I sometimes see white smoke coming out of my car's tailpipe and other cars' tailpipes. Is white smoke from a tailpipe ok?
In this case, yes, it’s OK. What you’re seeing is exhaust vapor, which is perfectly normal during colder days — some of us car geeks even think it looks cool when the vapors from a dual-exhaust car come rolling out the back and wrap around the rear of the car.
If you see white smoke coming out of the tailpipe during the summer and warmer months… well, then you’ve got an issue. Take it in for service.
