Does the Taurus X sit high like a van?

I like the feel of a minivan and wonder how this compares to that type of drive.

Sandy G., Brick, N.J.

Ford’s wagon-like Taurus X crossover doesn't ride quite as high as a minivan or the more SUV-like crossovers (like the Saturn Outlook or Mazda CX-9), but the driving experience is definitely more elevated than a sedan’s. The Taurus X is called a crossover SUV, but as you can tell by looking at the vehicle, its exterior is more akin to a wagon. Cars.com Senior Editor Joe Wiesenfelder says the Taurus X’s ride height is average at best compared to comparable people-movers, while the Taurus sedan is remarkably high for a car.

Wiesenfelder recently reviewed the Taurus X, and also takes you on a walkthrough of the three-row crossover in a Cars.com original video review.
