Will the new Saturn Aura four-cylinder come with a six-speed automatic?

Will it be the same one as in the 2008 Chevy Malibu? It would make sense because they’re basically the same model.

It does seem logical, right? Especially because the vehicles share underpinnings. Unfortunately, as of now there’s no word of a six-speed automatic transmission for the 2008 Aura four-cylinder. Because the cars are so similar, we wouldn’t be surprised if the option of a six-speed auto eventually popped up. The four-cylinder is a new option on the Aura for 2008, as the previous year only had six-cylinder power. The new engine won’t even be graced with a five-speed automatic, only a four-speed auto will be mated to the Aura’s 2.4-liter for 2008.
