What's the best SUV for my family? I have two kids, three dogs and lots of "stuff!" I don't want a minivan quite yet — help!
The new trend in SUVs are car-based crossovers with three rows of seats. They would be plenty large enough to fit your family and pets and a fair amount of stuff.
The players in this field include the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook, Hyundai Veracruz, Mazda CX-9 and new Toyota Highlander. We've tested all the vehicles mentioned above with the exception of the new Highlander, which has yet to go on sale. All of them are capable of getting the job done, but the Mazda won a face-off between the Hyundai Veracruz and GMC Acadia.
