Ford's naming convention got a little goofy for 2008 with the return of the Taurus name. Despite a difference of only one letter, the 2008 Taurus and Taurus X are two very different vehicles.

The Taurus is a full-size sedan, formerly named the Five Hundred, and the Taurus X is a three-row crossover sport utility vehicle, previously called the Freestyle. The Taurus has a starting price of $23,245; the Taurus X starts at $26,616. Both received styling and powertrain updates for 2008 and can be optioned with goodies like navigation, upgraded entertainment systems and leather.

See the 2008 Ford Taurus and 2008 Ford Taurus X vehicle summaries for a complete rundown on each vehicle.
