Is the Chevrolet Volt family friendly?

I'm interested in finding out how the new Chevrolet Volt will accommodate families with young children that still sit in car seats. Please inform me on where I can find out this information, as I am interested in purchasing one if it does accommodate children nicely.

We can understand why many people think the Chevrolet Volt is an actual car you can buy. Turn on the local news, and they’re always talking about the latest concept car as if it were arriving at the dealership down the road in a few days. Unfortunately, the plug-in hybrid Volt is not for sale and is still in development. GM is aiming at a 2010 release date, but even that isn’t set in stone.

That said, once it does become available it probably will be a bit on the small size for busy families. However, we know folks who use Mini Coopers as family transports.
